In order to increase transparency throughout its supply chain, Korean fashion firm ShinWon Corporation has adopted the German sustainability compliance management service platform Retraced.
Retraced is an information technology platform that collects and organises data from the whole textile and apparel supply chain using blockchain technology. Through the use of this equipment, ShinWon hopes to guarantee complete transparency throughout the whole production process, from the procurement of raw cotton to the spinning, knitting, and sewing stages.
ShinWon has also formed a team tasked with improving its supply chain management system and hiring and developing qualified personnel. In order to enable systematic partner management, this team will make sure that partners completely abide by the applicable laws and ethical standards. Regular evaluations will also be conducted.
ShinWon has also upgraded the monitoring of cotton usage by implementing a detection algorithm. By removing pertinent keywords from data backups, this system makes it possible to trace manufacturing transparently from raw materials to final goods.
A representative from ShinWon stated that through this partnership with Retraced, the company will manage the supply chain, fully respecting information transparency, and uphold corporate ethical responsibility. In the future, ShinWon will continue efforts toward authentic ESG management, and will do its best to enhance consumer trust.
