RSWM Limited, the flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has emphasised its commitment to sustainable growth with the launch of its Sustainability Report 2024-25.
Over the past year, the company reported conserving 22.3 lakh kilolitres of water, achieving 100% reuse of treated wastewater through advanced Zero Liquid Discharge systems. On the energy front, RSWM consumed 101.76 million kW of solar and wind power, reaching a 33% reliance on green energy, surpassing India’s national clean energy mix of 31%.
The company has also replaced coal with husk-based boilers, using a total of 14,714 MT of biofuels, with plans to transition all manufacturing boilers to biofuel operation.
In addition, RSWM recycled around 6.5 million PET bottles daily, amounting to 43,250 MT of PET bottles recycled in FY 2024-25. Production now incorporates 38,270 MT of recycled polyester and 11,674 MT of organic cotton in yarns and fabrics. Manufacturing facilities also used 91,611 kg of organic manure to maintain soil health and support environmental balance.
Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman, Managing Director, and CEO of RSWM, highlighted that the company views sustainability as both a responsibility and an opportunity to drive purposeful growth. He noted that guided by the Panchtatva philosophy, RSWM aims to transform challenges into opportunities through sustainable innovation and nature-conscious initiatives. Jhunjhunwala added that the company’s approach involves rethinking waste as a resource, embedding renewables into its energy mix, and designing processes to minimise impact while maximising resilience, with the goal of creating a stronger, cleaner, and more equitable future for coming generations.
RSWM’s sustainability efforts also extend to social initiatives. In FY ’25, its corporate social responsibility programmes reached 244,000 beneficiaries, demonstrating the company’s commitment to positive impact beyond its manufacturing operations.
