The R Collective, a socially conscious upcycled fashion label, has partnered with materials science firm Avery Dennison to use its digital product labeling technology and plastic-free garment bags.
The digital labels from Avery Dennison, which are attached to the garment, include a QR code that, when scanned, provides instant access to the brand’s efforts to create responsible products.
This information includes how The R Collective reduces the environmental impact of fashion through newly released product-level carbon and water savings achieved through waste material rescue.
The REVIVAL sustainable design project by The R Collective uses rescued fabrics from leading global fashion brands, and the garments will be delivered in Avery Dennison’s newly developed plastic-free garment bag.
Commenting on the collaboration, Christina Dean, Founder & CEO, The R Collective, stated, “Avery Dennison’s innovative plastic-free garment bag has enabled us to actively reduce waste via our packaging. We’ve enjoyed working closely with the team to ensure that our brand story is told every step of the way through the digital labels and digital packaging solutions.”
