Global Fashion Agenda (GFA), the non-profit organisation focused on accelerating sustainability in the fashion sector, has announced that LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has joined its Strategic Partner group.
As a Strategic Partner, LVMH will collaborate with other companies to advance work on biodiversity, climate, transparency and circularity. The group already includes luxury brands such as Kering, CHANEL and Ralph Lauren.
GFA aims to accelerate industry-wide progress through research, educational resources, advocacy programmes and events, including its annual Global Fashion Summit. The Summit brings together businesses, policymakers and stakeholders to discuss environmental and social challenges and showcase solutions through its Innovation Forum.
According to the organisation, Strategic Partners represent a range of sectors across fashion and contribute expertise to collective initiatives on issues such as decarbonisation, social equity and climate adaptation.
Federica Marchionni, chief executive of GFA, said LVMH’s participation would strengthen ongoing efforts. She noted that LVMH’s sustainability roadmap, LIFE 360, aligned with GFA’s objectives and added that collaboration across the sector was necessary to drive measurable change.
Hélène Valade, director of environmental development at LVMH, said the company viewed its involvement in GFA as an opportunity to contribute to collective environmental goals. She stated that cooperation across the industry was essential and described collaboration as both a guiding principle and a practical strategy for the group.
LVMH joins GFA’s existing Strategic Partners, which include Kering, CHANEL, Ralph Lauren Corporation, NIKE, H&M Group, BESTSELLER and Target.
