Huntsman Textile Effects, which is a leading global provider of high-quality dyes, chemicals and digital inks, has launched HIGH IQ® Lasting Black eco – thereby extending its industry-leading HIGH IQ® brand assurance programme.
The new colour-retention programme, which is based on Huntsman’s award-winning AVITERA® SE Black reactive dye, will help mills, brands and retailers meet global demand for eco-friendly black shades that retain their intense colour even after repeated washing.
Black shades have always been popular among designers and consumers and so in today’ s world, brands not only have to deliver shades that don’t fade, but are also eco-friendly.
HIGH IQ® is a perfect combination of world’s leading colour retention programme and AVITERA® SE Black dye.
While AVITERA® Black SE dye promotes economic and environmental sustainability by minimising energy and water usage by up to 50 per cent, its excellent washing-off performance cuts down the processing time thereby enhancing the productivity.
Notably, garments made under the HIGH IQ® Lasting Black eco programme are suitable for home laundering using EU and US domestic washing machines and carry a reduced risk of colour staining other garments during washing.
Some of the major benefits of HIGH IQ® Lasting Black eco are (i) reduced environmental footprint, using 50 per cent less water and energy in processing, (ii) deep black shades retain intensity as long as garment lasts, (iii) longer-lasting performance, wash after wash, so garments look newer for longer time and (iv) allows mills to produce fabrics and garments free from p-chloroaniline (PCA) (current detection limit 5 ppm).
