Eileen Fisher has rebranded its new-to-you clothing line, enabling customers to monetise their garments, irrespective of their condition. This initiative empowers individuals to extend the lifecycle of their clothing while also earning some financial benefit.
Eileen Fisher has introduced its Renew program, streamlining the clothing recycling process into four simple steps. The journey begins with customers returning their clothing items to any Eileen Fisher store, either through drop-off or mailing. Regardless of the condition of the clothing, each returned item earns US $ 5 in “Renew Rewards.”
Once received, a dedicated team takes charge of sorting the pieces. Items in excellent condition are made available for resale, while the remaining pieces are either recycled or transformed through felting into unique creations such as art, pillows, or acoustic panels.
To ensure utmost cleanliness, all items undergo a thorough cleaning process using a closed-loop cleaning system provided by Eileen Fisher’s partner, Tersus Solutions. This system not only conserves water and electricity but also captures microfibers from the clothing, preventing further pollution of waterways.
