Burberry has made it to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the third successive year under the ‘Textiles, Apparel & Luxury Goods’ section.
Dow Jones Sustainability Index is known as a credible benchmark for all those investors who make sustainability an integral part of all their policies and investments.
The index tracks the stock performance of the world’s leading companies in terms of economic, social and environmental criteria.
The inclusion in the index yet again highlights the British luxury fashion house’s commitment to ‘sustainable production’ of fashion products. The brand scored industry best under the ‘Innovation Management’ category.
Burberry is also an essential component of the MSCI World ESG Leaders Index and the FTSE4Good Index.
The fashion label’s responsibility agenda ‘Creating Tomorrow’s Heritage’ focuses on ‘supporting 1 million people in the communities that help in flourishing the business of Burberry; ensuring 100% of its products have at least one element that brings a positive change; and developing innovative methods for the evaluation of the waste created while producing luxury goods’.
