Arc’teryx, an outdoorwear brand based out of Canada, has placed a strong emphasis on circularity at its newly opened flagship store in Covent Garden, UK. The flagship store, now located at 41-42 King Street, represents the brand’s largest store in Europe, covering over 8,000 square feet. It showcases Arc’teryx’s collection of technical gear, footwear, and accessories tailored for various outdoor activities such as trail running, climbing, hiking, and skiing.
The store’s design revolves around Arc’teryx’s circularity initiative, ReBird, which is dedicated to the maintenance, repair, and upcycling of its products. Additionally, the store features a community room and expert product guides to enrich the overall visitor experience. ReBIRD is Arc’teryx’s platform for circularity, also spanning resale operations. It is designed to promote sustainability and reduce waste.
Sven Radtke, the EMEA general manager at Arc’teryx, expressed enthusiasm about the brand’s presence in Covent Garden, highlighting the opportunity to expand alongside other brands. He emphasised that the new store aligns with Arc’teryx’s core values and offers enhanced services for customers.
The brand’s retail footprint extends globally with over 2,400 locations, including 159 brand stores positioned in community-driven areas worldwide. These stores serve as hubs for product education and community engagement in outdoor activities like climbing, hiking, running, and snow sports, with support from over 200 Arc’teryx store ambassadors. Their goal is to inspire customers to explore the outdoors and engage with Arc’teryx products firsthand.
