Alchemie Technology, a UK-based company focusing on sustainable dyeing, has launched a new office in Taiwan and outlined its goals to grow operations into Bangladesh and Türkiye as part of its universal growth strategy.
Alchemie Technology states Taiwan as a key textile hub in the Asia-Pacific region, known for its robust focus on research and development to push innovation in new materials and textile technologies.
Apart from launching operations in Taiwan, Alchemie has driven plans to create facilities in Bangladesh and Türkiye for cotton dyeing, and in Central America and Portugal for both polyester and cotton processing. Such expansions strive to boost Alchemie’s global presence and improve its capacity to provide sustainable textile solutions worldwide, majorly reducing the environmental impact of dyeing and finishing processes.
Prior to this year, Alchemie launched its low-carbon digital textile dyeing production, Endeavour, and launched its production and demonstration facility in Taiwan devoted to dyeing woven polyester. These initiatives mark major milestones in Alchemie’s growth efforts. The Endeavour process diminishes dyeing carbon footprint by up to 85 per cent, eradicates up to 95 per cent of wastewater, and reduces chemical usage by around 30 per cent.
With the launch of operations in Taiwan, Alchemie has reinforced its leadership team by selecting Ryan Chen as Chief Operating Officer (COO) Asia. Ryan brings over twenty years of experience in the textile industry, positioning his expertise in sustainability with Alchemie’s mission to revolutionise textile dyeing and finishing processes.
Dr. Alan Hudd, Founder and CEO of Alchemie Technology, remarked, “Ryan’s widespread industry experience and pledge to sustainability perfectly match our goal of transforming textile dyeing processes. With his leadership, we are assured in scaling our operations and making a major positive impact on the environment.”
