Customers may now use a new tool from Zalando to get size recommendations based on their individual body measurements. Customers in the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region can already access the service, but it is anticipated that it will soon be made available in more markets.
Users are able to snap two photos of themselves wearing tight clothing so that Zalando may determine their body dimensions and assist them in choosing the appropriate fit for their apparel purchases.
The offering is the next stage in Zalando’s mission to assist customers in finding the ideal fit the first time. It comes after the launch of the store’s online virtual dressing room, which lets consumers examine how garments will fit their custom online avatar.
Zalando’s internal staff has already decreased size-related returns by 10 per cent thanks to their efforts on fit and size.
Stacia Carr, VP Size & Fit at Zalando, said, “Helping customers find the right fit is an important part of deepening customer relationships.”
