Wolverine World Wide (WWW) has announced a global “Innovation Hub” in Boston, Massachusetts, where its design and product teams will be based, following the opening of new international office spaces.
Employees of the group’s Saucony brand, including those in design, development, product management, and merchandising, will also work out of the 11-square-foot facility.
Chris Hufnagel, president and CEO of Wolverine Worldwide, stated in a statement that Boston provided “exceptional design and footwear talent” and had a “deep connection” with group brands.
The team at the company was “ideally situated to create fantastic products and carry on redefining Wolverine Worldwide as a customer-focused creator of outstanding international brands” thanks to the Innovation Hub, he continued.
Two months after the firm launched a second office in Hong Kong, the opening followed the reveal of a new Wolverine Worldwide office space in Zhuhai, China.
In addition, WWW moved its other brand Sweaty Betty’s offices to London. The company is currently remodelling its global headquarters in Michigan, and new Merrell and Saucony bases should be finished by the spring of 2025.
Hufnagel pointed out that this focus on its real estate is a component of a plan to draw in and keep talent.
