With immediate effect, White Stuff has named Tracey Verghese, its trade director, as its new managing director. Verghese oversaw the brand’s commercial strategy across all channels and third-party collaborations during his six years as trading director.
According to the retailer, the CEO assisted in turning White Stuff into a “modern, commercially agile business,” which resulted in “significant growth in sales and profit,” increased market share, and expedited its presence across new channels.
Verghese previously held a variety of top merchandising and trading positions at Marks and Spencer for 16 years. Before rising to the position of trading director, she began her career with White Stuff in 2018 as its merchandising director.
Following the apparel retailer’s acquisition by TFG London last October, Jo Jenkins, the CEO of White Stuff, left the company earlier this month after serving in that capacity for seven years.
Jenkins departed the fashion firm “to pursue new opportunities” after joining the company in 2018 from M&S, where she served as director of clothing and beauty.
