Westfield London is coming up with UK’s first data-driven ‘Trending Store’ that will stock only top products trending online on that day.
The store is being opened in partnership with Nextatlas, a company that helps retailers visualise the latest trends in the market.
So how’s Nextatlas’ technology going to help!
The Nextatlas technology will enable the brand to identify and sell the online top 100 trending products both in the men’s and women’s clothing and accessories of that day. The store will be functional from 3 to 7 July, in alliance with ‘Save the Children’, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
The technology will work by tracking 400,000 of the most stylist influencers or trend innovators and analysing the 100 most trending products of that day. The stylist will be responsible for figuring out the looks as instructed by the venture AI technology and stocking the store each day. They will also be helping the customers pick the outfits that suit their individual styles.
“Traditional retailers have always used stores to gather customer information. The Trending Store is revolutionising store management by using Nextatlas’ platform to make stores a destination of data science rather than a source of it. It’s a pioneering example of how AI will be relevant for customers as well as a way to make stores more effective in generating enhanced customer experiences,” said Mario Coletti, Managing Director, Nextatlas.
