VS&Co-Lab! That’s the name of the new marketplace launched by US lingerie retailer Victoria’s Secret.
Available through its website, the new marketplace will display fashion brands that are inclusive and innovative.
However, what’s noteworthy is that of the 19 brands, featuring in the marketplace, 75 per cent of them are founded, owned or led by women.
The retailer recently acquired minority stakes in two of the featured brands, namely, For Love & Lemons and Frankies Bikinis.
VS&Co-Laboffers opportunity to many up-and-coming brands to market under the globally renowned lingerie stalwart.
In a statement released to media, Patti Cazzato, Head of Emerging Businesses, Victoria’s Secret, said “Through leveraging the strength of Victoria’s Secret & Co. and our passionate customer base, we are meeting consumers where they are, while simultaneously partnering with small business to drive economic empowerment for women and people of colour.
Last month, the retailer had unveiled Happy Nation, which is an inclusive and digital-only tween brand that’s designed for children in the age group of 8 to 13.
