Lids, the American sportswear retailer, is here with a retail concept!
The US retailer has announced the unveiling of Lids University (Lids U), which is entirely dedicated to collegiate sports product and apparel in the country.
In other words, the new Lids U stores will bow in key college markets and serve as a one-stop-shop for local collegiate gear.
Notably, each will provide a wide range of collegiate sports products that include reputed clothing labels such as Nike, adidas, Under Armour, Retro Brand, Fanatics, and more.
It will also offer headwear brands Zephyr and New Era.
Besides, each Lids U store will comprise Custom Zones that will enable consumers to custom-embroider a product of their choice in-store.
While three stores opened last week, eight more are set to open in 2022, with more to come up in 2023 and subsequent years.
Lids Sports Group is the largest licensed sports retailer in North America, which is known for selling fashion-oriented headwear and clothes across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico through nearly 1,200 retail locations.
