Nike, the US-based sportswear retailer, has come up with a global maternity training programme wherein the focus is on exercise for every stage of pregnancy.
The fashion retailer, reportedly, said that it plans to invite more pregnant and postpartum people back into sport.
Notably, 24-workout training programme covers strength training, cardio, mobility and yoga throughout every pregnancy stage.
This training programme is a prenatal and postpartum exercise plan developed by qualified trainers – and finally vetted by a panel of five pregnancy experts.
More on the programme, Carmen Zolman, Senior Design Director of Apparel Innovation, Nike, said “As one of the most transformative stages of a woman’s life, we want to help ensure Motherhood was the start of a new stage – not a stop – in a woman’s sports journey.”
Back in 2020, Nike had entered the maternity market with a collection called Nike (M).
Nike, which was founded in 1964, is globally the largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparels, with revenue in excess of US $ 37.4 billion in 2020.
