
PVH Corp., the globally renowned American clothing giant, will be closing its stores in Russia and Belarus starting today (7 March).
The decision follows the suspension of its e-commerce sites in Russia on 28 February after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In last 10 days, PVH’s primary concern has been for all people suffering due to the war in Ukraine and escalating humanitarian crisis.
Consequently, the owner of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, is committed to providing all impacted associates and loved ones with comprehensive financial, operational and moral support.
Notably, the retail group has said that all associates will continue to receive their salary and benefits.
“PVH is continuing our philanthropic efforts through a corporate donation to the Red Cross and support of relief organisations in the region who are working to bring crucial supplies to those in need in heavily impacted areas of Ukraine and along its borders. Our associates continue to donate to organisations in Europe through Global Giving’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund where their donations are double matched,” PVH stated in its LinkedIn post.
PVH, founded in 1881, is one of the world’s largest and most admired fashion companies, connecting with consumers in over 40 countries. Some of its iconic brands include the likes of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.
