Uniqlo, the Japanese fast fashion label, is all set to launch its largest store in Macau soon.
Come 30 September and there will be something to cheer for Uniqlo lovers of Macau. Macau already has a Uniqlo store – the popular Uniqlo The Venetian store in Cotai – and this will be the second for Macau.
The second store, which opens at ‘Yellow House’ commercial building near the Ruins of St. Paul, is being touted as the biggest of the retailer in Macau.
The new store will also feature the UTme! ‘design your own’ T-shirt service. It’s a popular service where shoppers can embrace their creativity by making custom-designed T-shirts and tote bags.
Besides, Uniqlo added that it will be closely collaborating with local artists to launch several collaborative projects that will feature local artists.
The store, spread over a vast area of 1,772 square metres, will occupy 5 floors. There will also be an exhibition area to hold community events and programmes.
Reportedly, Future Bright Holdings Limited, which owns most of the property in the Macau historical centre, has signed an 8-year lease agreement with Uniqlo.
In these tough times, when store closures and bankruptcy are the most heard terms, it’s always good to hear about store launches and expansions.
