
19 June will see Fast Retailing unveil its much-awaited Uniqlo Tokyo flagship! The store will also give fast fashion retailer an opportunity to showcase to the world for the first time its new LifeWear concept.
The store, which earlier occupied the seventh floor of Ginza Marronnier Gate, will now occupy the first four floors of the building.
Ginza Marronnier Gate is a commercial facility in the district of Ginza, Tokyo. Launching a store in such a prime area is already seen as Uniqlo’s development strategy.
As per the media reports, the Tokyo flagship was supposed to be launched on 15 May; however, owing to declaration of state emergency amidst coronavirus fear, the launch date got postponed to 19 June.
Uniqlo Tokyo is designed by Fast Retailing’s Creative Director Kashiwa Sato in association with Swiss firm Herzog & de Meuron.
In a statement released by Fast Retailing, the retailer said that Uniqlo Tokyo flagship will be integral in conveying to all visitors the latest LifeWear collections and thereby allow them to experience world’s finest designed clothing that meets everyone’s needs for dailywear.
