London-based clothing retailer Jigsaw has seen its revenue soar by a good 24 per cent to £ 47.7 million for the year ended 29 January 2022.
The EBITDA profit for the fashion retailer was £ 2.8 million during the said period. A year back, Jigsaw had posted an EBITDA loss of £ 18.7 million.
The retailer’s operating profit was £ 1.2 million compared to a loss of £ 21 million for the previous period.
Jigsaw has attributed the performance to a successful business restructuring as well as to the investment across digital, stores and management.
Besides developing new web and data platforms, Jigsaw redesigned its store portfolio after customer research. Notably, its 56 standalone stores – at the start of the period – was reduced to 43.
The retailer added that it will continue to focus on womenswear, while building out presence across third-party platforms – locally and internationally.
Jigsaw was started in 1970 and today has store and concession partners across Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands and Australia.
