2017 was the year that observed numerous brands and designers deboarding the runway bandwagon or opting for the other alternatives to bolster their fashion businesses.
And now, Tod’s – the Italian luxury group, is bringing a variation to its collections’ presentations this year by focusing on improving its involvement with the shoppers extensively, to suit the fast-paced fashion market.
The brand will now reportedly release ‘multiple’ collections all through the year under its new fashion venture. “Tod’s ‘Factory’ project was set up a few months back and entails more vibrant collections for the year. There is also a one-off exclusive edition collection fabricated by a variety of designers,” explained Diego Della Valle, Chairman of Tod’s.
Although, the Italian company did not confirm if it was following the path Moncler that chose to discontinue the runway show participation. Notably, Moncler, the Italian apparel manufacturer and lifestyle brand, bid adieu to the ramp last week itself, claiming that the wise way of progressing ahead is through the introduction of innovative and creative products to customers every month.
On the similar tune, Tod’s Chairman averred that the fashion firms would find it tough to provide fresh news on a half-yearly basis, with only two collections to display every year. “The business model has changed, everything is more rapid,” he reportedly said.
