British activewear brand Tala has appointed Jon Wetherell as its new Creative Director.
Wetherell is a seasoned veteran of the fashion industry with 15 years of experience from renowned fashion houses like Net-a-Porter and Boden. Additionally, he also has a distinguished background in art direction for leading publications such as Esquire, GQ, and Harper’s Bazaar.
Prior to joining Tala, Wetherell served as the creative director of the Net-a-Porter Group and Boden. In the newly appointed role, he will be directly working with Tala CEO Morgan Fowles.
He will be responsible for shaping the brand’s visual identity and overall marketing strategy. This appointment comes at a crucial time for Tala as the brand gears up for significant international expansion.
Tala CEO Morgan Fowles has said that Tala finds Jon’s exceptional creative vision and deep understanding of the fashion industry invaluable, especially with the activewear brands plans of global expansion.
Founded in 2019 by influencer Grace Beverley, Tala is known for its inclusive and accessible approach to women’s activewear.
Wetherell expressed his enthusiasm for joining Tala as well, emphasizing the brand’s alignment with his own values. This key appointment signals Tala’s commitment to elevating its brand presence and solidifying its position in the competitive activewear market.
