In what is seen as an effort to popularise and boost e-commerce in the rural and semi-urban areas of Bangladesh, e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB), Access to Information (a2i), ICT Division and Logistics solutions provider Paperfly jointly launched a programme.
Titled ‘Seller One’, the programme would help entrepreneurs in remote, rural and semi-urban areas of Bangladesh to sell their products online and facilitate delivery system across the country thereby aiding businesses outside capital Dhaka to evolve and flourish, which otherwise face a lot of obstacles on account of insufficient knowledge of running businesses online, lack of financial support and absence of professional e-commerce-focused logistics partner.
Seller One programme will help the ecommerce ecosystem and increase online seller base across the country, underlined Rahath Ahmed, Chief Marketing Officer of Paperfly while Shomi Kaiser, President of the Ecommerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) on her part maintained that this campaign would help eradicate barriers for remote or outer Dhaka-based sellers enabling more and more entrepreneurs to start their online business from outside Dhaka.
