Menswear line Frère is the debut offering from the Parisian womenswear label Soeur.
The brand’s new 20-piece collection is currently available at its online and at its east London flagship store, 37 Redchurch Street in Shoreditch. The name Soeur is French for sister, and Frère means brother. The brand launched this store in January 2024.
According to the description, the first Frère collection is “as much about attitude as it is about elegance”.
It provides classic yet contemporary pieces that are meant for the man who enjoys luxury but also wants it to feel comfortable and lived in.
Originally “created to embody the essence of French taste, ease, and authenticity,” Soeur was founded in Paris in 2007 by sisters Domitille and Angélique Brion. Since Soeur frequently incorporates menswear elements into its womenswear designs, the introduction of a brother brand makes perfect sense.
The “Arthur” tweed coat, “Niels” gabardine pants, “Samuel” gilet, “Glenn” fitted shirt and “Isamu” jumper are essential pieces. Additionally, there are earthy-toned accessories like the “Peter” scarf and the “Blizzard” beanie.
