In the third quarter, the turnover of the French fashion firm SMCP decreased by 0.8 per cent. According to the financial update, turnover in the third quarter is essentially unchanged from the previous quarters of the fiscal year.
The total turnover is US $ 315.95 million. In the third quarter, Maje and Sandro both show a slight increase, while De Fursac and Claudie Pierlot show a decrease. The financial update mentions a 13 per cent drop in turnover for the two brands, which are pooled together by SMCP.
In terms of turnover, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) has finally overtaken France, the home country.
Nonetheless, there is an 18 per cent decline in APAC (Asia Pacific). In order to maximise the store portfolio in this area, SMCP has thus started an action plan that calls for the closure of a number of locations.
Even after including the first three quarters of the fiscal year, there has been a 3 percent decrease in turnover. The total turnover is US $ 947.96 million.
