Kim Kardashian’s shapewear label Skims has appointed longtime Michael Kors executive Robin Gendron as its first president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), ahead of a major regional rollout.
Gendron spent 15 years at Michael Kors, most recently serving as president of EMEA, and will now oversee Skims’ expansion across the region. The brand is preparing to open standalone stores in Dubai and London by mid-2026. The London location will span 12,000 square feet on Regent Street in the former Ted Baker flagship, marking Skims’ first permanent store in the UK.
In addition, Skims plans to enter retailers across Switzerland, Turkey and Scotland, including Swiss department store Globus and luxury Turkish chain Beymen. A regional warehouse, launched earlier this year, will support what the company described as its high expectations for rapid scaling in EMEA. Co-founder and CEO Jens Grede said Gendron’s leadership would be instrumental in navigating complex markets.
The brand is also broadening its product offering through a collaboration with Nike on a women’s activewear line called NikeSkims. Originally slated to launch in spring, the collection was delayed due to production issues and is now expected to debut later this year on the Nike and Skims websites, as well as select US stores, before a global rollout in 2026.
Skims’ appointment of Gendron and expansion plans build on its broader global growth. The company is opening 16 new stores in the US this year, bringing its domestic footprint to 22, and is also entering Mexico with five new franchise-operated locations.
