Kim Kardashian’s shapewear company, Skims, is about to make its retail debut in the UK. The brand and the commercial business organisation The Crown Estate have agreed to a one-year lease for a location on Regent Street in London that will open in the summer of 2026.
The brand, which has only previously held temporary pop-ups in collaboration with local third-party retailers, will open its first freestanding site in the UK with the 12,000 square foot store.
Only in early 2024 did Skims open its first flagship location in Los Angeles, California, marking its entry into the permanent retail market. Here, the brand’s wide selection of products for both men and women—including loungewear, knickers and shapewear—are offered in an area that reflects the recognisable design elements of Skims.
According to Robert Norton, chief commercial officer, Regent Street’s global renown and rich history make it the ideal location for the launch of Skims’ immersive retail experience. The opening is part of a bigger expansion strategy into important international markets.
Reality celebrity Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede co-founded Skims in 2019, and since then, the company has been pursuing an ambitious expansion strategy, which is shown in its 2023 debut into menswear and subsequent pursuit of physical retail. In addition to its seven permanent locations around the United States, the company has a few shopfronts in Europe, China, and Australia.
