
Footwear brand Skechers recently announced a significant milestone by surpassing 5,000 Skechers-branded retail store locations across more than 120 countries. The 5,000th store was opened in Bogotá, Colombia. To reach this milestone, Skechers has opened stores in various countries like Chile, Greece, India, Mexico, South Korea and USA
“Every Skechers store brings valuable engagement with consumers to build an increased awareness for our brand,” said Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers. “Skechers stores are the best place for fans to experience the signature comfort, style and innovation of our products and when they do, they’re loyal for life. Every location offers the same look and feel to carry the Skechers brand with consistency across six continents,” he added.
Since its opening, Skechers has expanded globally, opening its first international store in Japan, the 100th in Times Square, the 3,000th in China, and now reaching the milestone of 5,000 stores in Colombia.
Looking ahead, Skechers aims to open an additional 140 to 160 company-owned stores this year and hundreds more annually with its partners, with plans to reach 10,000 Skechers locations.
