Sir Edmund Hillary brand, specialising in outdoor apparels, opened its first store at Queenstown Airport, New Zealand in the first week of February.
The brand is already underway in launching another store in Auckland, which will be its second outlet in New Zealand. There are currently plans to open 5 more stores in 2019.
Amidst its big plans of expanding globally, the brand also plans to open 2 new stores in England – one in London and the other in the Midlands.
Further on expansion, Mike Hall-Taylor, Co-founder and CEO, Edmund Hillary, said that quite like the famous 1950 expedition, the initial launch markets for the brand will be the UK and New Zealand.
“We plan to launch 5 stores in 2019 and another 10 by the end of 2020. Millions of dollars have been invested so far in the brand,” added Taylor.
The brand has created its own trust. A percentage of its sales goes to the trust and the brand decides how to allocate it. The money also goes to causes in Nepal, New Zealand and the UK.
Sir Edmund Hillary apparels was first launched in August 2018 at the New Zealand Fashion Week and had immediately caught the attention of everyone.
