Star Fades International (SFI), a laundry facility under the ownership of Artistic Milliners, has unveiled a strategic partnership with Denimville, a garment manufacturer based in Guatemala City aimed at strengthening its commitment to nearshoring in the Americas.
Operating within a vast 750,000-square-foot facility, Denimville can produce an impressive 400,000 units and 1,500 samples monthly and offers garment sewing, washing, dyeing, sustainable ozone, and waterless finishing, as well as dry processing.
The nearshoring network integrates fabric sources from the US, Mexico, and Central America, allowing manufacturers and brands to capitalise on cost savings through the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and the Dominican Republic-Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR).
Notably, this network slashes six to seven weeks of transportation time compared to Asian production, enabling rapid response to trends, reducing retail markdowns, and facilitating just-in-time deliveries. SFI further accelerates the process with its digital product creation team employing 3D design software like Browzwear and CLO.
As part of the partnership, Denimville gains access to SFI’s development center and expert team in California utilising Jeanologia’s EMI metrics to gauge environmental impact.
Alejandro Arias, VP Sourcing, said, “We are establishing relationships with the best factories in the region to allow our customers to realize speed, flexibility, and ease of doing business while maintaining high-caliber standards for production and sustainability.”
