Sealskinz, a British waterproof accessory company that Ray Kelvin, the founder of Ted Baker, purchased in November of last year, has introduced its first-ever apparel line and hired a new director of digital and marketing.
Known for its gloves, hats and three-layer socks, Sealskinz is branching out into apparel with a debut line geared at the ‘bold adventurer’ to introduce the outdoor brand to a wider audience, from casual explorers to ardent outdoor aficionados.
With a line-up of T-shirts, shorts, and sweatshirts to encourage year-round excursions, the ‘Vitae’ collection ushers in a new era for the historic brand.
All of the items in the first collection are produced from eco-friendly materials like bamboo and organic cotton, and they have practical details like bungee cord loops on the collars of t-shirts that make it simple to hang sunglasses and hidden pockets with glasses cleaner for further functionality.
According to Sealskinz, the initial summer 2023 collection will be followed by a range expansion for autumn/winter 2023 and spring/summer 2024, with more products suited to other sporting activities.
