
The much-awaited PUMA’s North America flagship store is open!
Located at 609 Fifth Avenue in New York City, the store focuses on the cutting edge technology along with an immersive PUMA brand space – offering consumers a unique shopping experience.
So, what’s new from the store?
There is an innovative sports engagement zone, a customisation studio and digitally connected offerings through magic mirrors.
The store features 18,000 square feet of interactive retail space spread over 2 floors, with state-of-the-art double-height storefronts across 160 feet of wraparound frontage.
Excited over the launch, Bjoern Gulden, CEO, PUMA SE, averred “I believe that investing in this new store, in one of the fastest paced cities in the world, will help us in our endeavour to be the fastest sports brand in the world.”
He further said “We are committed to pushing the boundaries of sports, fashion and technology, and this store is the latest manifestation of that commitment.”
In the sports engagement zone, the shoppers will be able to test the latest PUMA soccer boots on the in-store simulator that mimics the pitch of San Siro Stadium. The game is coached by PUMA brand ambassadors and professional footballers Antoine Griezmann and Romelu Lukaku.
Something for motorsports lovers too at the store. The customers can virtually race down professional-grade F1 racing simulator on the streets of New York City. And the basketball zone will help consumers kick back and enjoy the stadium seating and large screen NBA2K gaming experience.
The PUMA X YOU customisation studio in the store helps consumers to customise and personalise PUMA footwear, apparel and accessories using paint, dye, patchwork, embroidery, 3D knitting, laser printing, material upcycling and many other creative mediums.
And there’s more!
The brand will be launching a Chinatown Market University where store patrons will be able to customise their PUMA apparel, footwear and accessories using Chinatown Market’s state-of-the-art printing technology.
Furthermore, the store is equipped with iMirror by NOBAL placed throughout the store. These mirrors assist the customers in viewing products in alternate colours and style. The mirror also shows alternative selections based on items the customers try. Additionally, shoppers can press a button to notify an associate if they need help at the mirror and sign up for in-store events.
