Sports company Puma has appointed Julie Legrand as Senior Director Global Brand Strategy. In this position, she will oversee an important part of PUMA’s strategic priority to elevate the brand.
Julie has twenty years of experience in marketing and brand management, and she will directly report to Richard Teyssier, Vice President, Brand & Marketing at PUMA. She was most recently the Global Brand Director at H&M. She also had key roles at Procter & Gamble in branding and marketing.
“With Julie, we have found an experienced leader to head up PUMA’s global brand strategy,” said Richard Teyssier.
Julie’s hiring comes after the firm decided in June to move its marketing and worldwide brand management operations from Boston to PUMA’s headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany.
Brand elevation was identified by PUMA as one of its top three strategic targets for the company’s future growth in the beginning of 2023 after it refined its priorities.
“PUMA is one of the most recognized names in the sports industry with a fantastic brand heritage. I am very proud to be in charge of further sharpening the brand’s positioning and preference with consumers,” said Julie Legrand.
