Peter Dundas has been declared the new Creative Director at Roberto Cavalli. He will be exiting his position at Emilio Pucci and assuming his new role immediately. “This is a homecoming for me,” said Dundas, who worked at the house for 3 years, from 2002 to 2005. He added, “It is an honour for me to continue to evolve the wonderful world of Roberto Cavalli and I am very excited by the possibilities and potential of this unique brand. I cannot wait to get started.” The choice of Peter Dundas was made with the desire to evolve a style that combines glamour, tradition and innovation, recognized worldwide as the signature of Cavalli since the birth of the house,” added Roberto and Eva Cavalli. Peter studied at Parsons in New York before shifting base to Paris, where he worked as an assistant to Jean Paul Gaultier in 1992. Eight years later, he moved to Christian Lacroix where he remained for two years before arriving at Cavalli. Three years spent in Florence, working under Cavalli, greatly influenced his future sensibilities and he has now come a full circle.
