OOKIOH says Gah gets launched!
OOKIOH, a designer label of modern swimwear using regenerated materials, has joined hands with US-based ‘Lisa Says Gah’ for the global launch of ‘OOKIOH says Gah’ – its first print collection.
What makes OOKIOH stand out is its designs that are rooted in the aesthetics and colours of 80s sportswear and 90s supermodel vibes.
The swimwear brand, which was founded in 2018, has been instantly loved by fashionistas like Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid & Gigi Hadid for its eco-conscious swimwear.
And why not! Its fabric is, reportedly, sourced from an Italian mill and made from 100 per cent regenerated materials. The brand is also moving towards reducing its carbon footprint.
The collaborative collection ‘OOKIOH Says Gah’ features three prints: Bandana (Red Paisley), Farmer’s market (black Multifruit) and Moo (green cow print) – and these are sustainable too.
Across a one-piece and a two-piece silhouette, every design in this collection is made of sustainable, 100 per cent regenerated materials, recycled fishing nets and other pre-and post-production textile wastes such as fluff.
The limited-edition collection is designed for the global woman of any shape and size.
Talking of collaboration, Lisa Buhler, Founder, Lisa Says Gah, says, “One of our most requested items this year has been swimwear, and we’re excited to share that with our community through our partnership with OOKIOH.”
Adding further, Vivek Agarwal, Founder, OOKIOH and Camilla Witman, Creative Director said, “Camilla and I’ve been fans of the Lisa Says Gah brand and community. Both brands share a common ethos of bringing fun and joy to their community and their DNA is rooted in sustainable practices. We have always loved Lisa’s point of view and storytelling.”
Lisa Says Gah is home to the latest independent, cult-loved fashion brands – an online store constantly on the hunt to discover the next Gah! thing.
