Olymp, the German shirt-maker, has declared changes in its leadership formation. Mathias Eggle, who has worked as MD for four decades, will resign in mid-2024. Taking his place will be Johann Trischberger, the present director of production and procurement. Trischberger, who worked with Olymp as technical director in March 2018, has been influential in managing production, procurement, and corporate responsibility.
Mark Bezner, owner and CEO of Olymp Bezner KG, praised Eggle’s major contributions over the years, noting his industrial foresight and commitment to the company’s success. Bezner shared confidence in Trischberger’s capabilities, stressing his broad experience in the international textile industry since 2006, comprising leadership roles in Italy’s fabric and clothing sectors.
Starting from September 2017, he worked in a managerial role at Manifattura Pezzetti in Castellamonte, a famous manufacturer known for creating the best linings used in the apparel industry.
As of 1st July 2024, Olymp’s management team will also comprise Mark Bezner managing corporate strategy and finance, Kai Graf supervising sales around all channels, Heiko Ihben will take care of product management, brand strategy, and other major functions, and Trischberger leading corporate responsibility, logistics, and IT, beside his present responsibilities in assembly and procurement.
