Luxury Italian label Off-White is preparing to launch in India in the first quarter of next year through an exclusive partnership with fashion retail company Brand Concepts. The move marks Brand Concepts’ first entry into both the luxury and mainstream apparel markets, having previously focused on premium accessories. Brand Concepts has committed an initial investment of around US $ 5 million over the next few years to establish Off-White’s presence in the country.
Founded in Milan in 2013 by American fashion designer and entrepreneur Virgil Abloh, Off-White was recently acquired from LVMH by Bluestar Alliance. The brand will be introduced to India via Brand Concepts’ existing premium multi-brand outlet Bagline, which currently features international names such as Tommy Hilfiger and Juicy Couture.
The product offering will cover apparel, bags, wallets and footwear. Distribution plans include the brand’s own e-commerce platform, two standalone stores in major metropolitan cities, and availability at luxury multi-brand retailers such as The Collective and Iconic. Longer term, the strategy includes opening five to six flagship stores alongside an expanded “shop-in-shop” model, with the goal of building 25 to 30 retail points across India.
The launch comes amid rising demand for streetwear and sneakers among younger Indian consumers. To facilitate the rollout, Brand Concepts is collaborating with Sportlux General Trading, a global distributor of luxury brands.
