
Popular women’s clothing and accessories e-commerce fashion portal Nykaa Fashion recently announced the first edition of its ‘Vocal for Local’ Edit.
The said edition was initiated to support the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign that calls for giving relevance to local crafts, talent and supply chains for artisans.
A proud and delighted Adwaita Nayar, CEO, Nykaa Fashion, averred that the brand takes immense pride in offering “homegrown fashion labels from across the country, with a focus on traditional crafts and textiles as well as innovative contemporary designs.”
At the same time, she also spoke highly of the rich pool of talented designers and craftsmen in the country who play an integral role in not only keeping our traditions alive, but also ensuring to “translate them into modern silhouettes with a conscious message.”
Nykaa Fashion, by way of this initiative, provides a great opportunity to more than 50 ‘Made in India’ brands to showcase their craft from across various categories including apparel, accessories, footwear and jewellery to showcase and sell their collections.
Several upcoming local fashion labels will be participating in the edition, including Desi Weaves, Fuchsia by Aashka Mehta, Bunaai, Lavanya The Label, Ambaree, Dhaaga Handcrafts, Mati, Beej, Nuuh, Imlee, Preet Kaur and Rangpur, among many others.
Established brands that have collaborated with the ‘Vocal for Local’ Edit by Nykaa Fashion include Suhani Pittie, Saaksha & Kinni, Valliyan, Doodlage, Urvashi Kaur and Aprajita Toor.
