US-based outerwear and outdoor equipment brand The North Face has taken yet another step in the direction of environmental consciousness with a limited edition T-shirt collection.
The ‘Bottle Source’ collection has been made using 18,000 kilograms of plastic bottles collected from the waste streams of Alps.
Keeping in line with other initiatives like the upcycled ‘Remade’ collection, the limited edition Recover T-shirts are aimed at raising awareness about the amount of waste found in the mountains.
With hopes that future generations will understand the importance of nature and ensure the mountains remain a great place to explore, The North Face will also raise funds for the Summit Foundation, which supports the protection of wild places as well as other clean up initiatives in the Alps.
The T-shirts come in both short sleeve and long sleeve lengths and are unisex. The classic white T-shirts offer a choice of colour for the North Face logo to be in pink, green or blue.
€1 for every T-shirt bought will be donated towards the Summit Foundation.
The T-shirts are retailing at 30 pounds for short sleeves and 40 pounds for long sleeves on The North Face’s online portal.
