NikeLabs, a research and development institute owned by American apparel and footwear maker Nike has collaborated with Kim Jones, a British fashion designer, and developed a collection that focuses less on sport and more on the lifestyle sportswear for travel wear.
Crafted from Nike’s innovative lightweight, breathable Tech Fleece fabric, the range features seasonal staples including a bomber jacket, hoodie and sweatpants for both men and women. The Tech Fleece has also undergone a garment dyeing process for the first time, to create punchy colour options including blue lagoon and hyper pink.

“Nike Tech Fleece is something that’s a really progressive fabric in terms of development… It looks quite simple, but someone who is into technical details and a bit of a geek, like I am, about products and design, would really appreciate how that’s made, because it’s actually really a hard thing to do,” averred Kim Jones.
The collection is a packable assortment of Nike Tech Fleece pieces typified with one-piece construction, and reversible bomber jackets loaded with utility, creating a case study in traveling right. The travel-related features of the collection include zippered pockets, reversible pieces, packability and warmth. To complete the capsule, the pair introduce Nike Zoom Air technology to a reimagined version of the 1995 Nike Air Zoom LWP, in three unique colourways.
