Nike, the clothing and footwear brand, has partnered with NASA, to develop state-of-the-art athletic apparel. The collaboration aims to enhance the performance of athletes and astronauts alike by creating high-tech clothing.
Nike’s experience in designing and developing innovative products will be paired with NASA’s experience in materials science to create clothing that can do various things including regulation of body temperature, reducing stress on the body and other performance-enhancing benefits.
With a long history of collaboration with different organizations to drive development in the athletic clothing industry, Nike is poised to have a successful partnership with NASA. Nike has also worked with the likes of Apple and continues research to foster items that coordinate with wearable innovation.
As a natural extension of Nike’s commitment to innovation and performance, this collaboration is expected to produce groundbreaking new products that will help athletes and astronauts alike achieve their goals.
Nike’s President, John Donahoe, talked about the organization in a new proclamation. “We are excited to cooperate with NASA to foster new super advanced attire that will take execution to a higher level,” he said. “This collaboration represents a unique opportunity to combine our expertise with NASA’s to create something truly special.”
