Value apparel retailer V2 Retail Ltd’s net profit improved by 51% Y-o-Y to Rs. 24.7 crore (US $ 2.83 million) in Q1, FY ’26 encompassing April-June 2025. Even though demand was poor and consumption in India’s small towns remained unequal, the company’s sales growth and ongoing store expansion were the key drivers of this increase.
During the April-June period, it recorded a 52% year-over-year increase in consolidated revenue to Rs. 632 crore (US $ 72.47 million), which was its largest quarterly revenue to date.
According to V2 Retail, a plan to raise up to Rs. 400 crore (US $ 45.87 million) through the issue of equity shares or other suitable securities has been approved by the board. According to CEO Akash Agarwal, the company will use these funds to support continued retail expansion as well as to fortify its backend technology and supply chain.
The company also opened 26 new locations in 215 cities nationwide during the quarter, suggesting that network expansion—rather than same-store performance—was the primary driver of overall revenue growth.
