
Naked Brand Group Limited, a leading intimate apparel and swimwear company with a diverse portfolio of brands, has unveiled its plan for expansion in Australia and New Zealand.
The brand has inked series of leases for retail and outlet stores in two countries, finalizing its two -year rollout strategy of 20 additional stores.
The brand has confirmed opening of its stores at Northlands, Invercargill and Manukau in New Zealand. The brand has also planned to open a new Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) in Perth in Australia.
The Naked brand currently operates 33 stores in New Zealand and 25 in Australia. These stores collectively contribute around 40 per cent of overall sales of the brand.
Additionally, the designer of intimate apparel and swimwear has also identified 16 more locations to set up stores by 2020.
“For many years, the outlet channel has been a significant contributor to the overall channel strategy for Naked,” stated Justin Davis-Rice, Chief Executive Officer of Naked Brand Group Limited.
The New-York based Naked Brand Group Inc. concluded a merger agreement with Bendon Ltd., a New Zealand-based marketer of intimate apparels and swimwear.
According to the agreement, Naked and Bendon became wholly-owned subsidiaries of Bendon Group Holdings Limited, a newly formed Australian holding company (Holdco).
