Luxury fashion platform Mytheresa is deepening its collaboration with Vestiaire Collective, the French second-hand luxury marketplace, by extending their partnership to include a menswear resale service. The move marks a further step in both companies’ efforts to promote circular fashion and enhance the luxury shopping experience.
Mytheresa said the expansion will broaden the range of brands eligible for resale, potentially encompassing labels from its curated menswear selection. The resale process remains streamlined, with customers invited to participate via a dedicated landing page, where they can submit details of their pre-owned designer items and receive an instant price quote.
Once the item is authenticated and approved by Vestiaire Collective, customers receive immediate payment in the form of Mytheresa store credit. A dedicated Mytheresa x Vestiaire Collective team is available to provide personalised assistance throughout the resale process.
Mytheresa’s chief marketing and customer officer, Amber Pepper, said the company was pleased to expand its successful partnership with Vestiaire Collective into menswear, noting that the move reflects Mytheresa’s commitment to the circular economy and its goal of enhancing the luxury experience across all categories.
Bernard Osta, newly appointed chief executive officer of Vestiaire Collective, described the expansion as arriving at a pivotal time, coinciding with the company’s strategic focus on developing its menswear category. He said the extended partnership underscores a shared commitment to making circular fashion a meaningful alternative for luxury consumers in every segment.
Osta, who previously served as Vestiaire Collective’s chief financial officer, recently succeeded Maximilian Bittner as CEO, following Bittner’s departure after seven years with the company.
