A missing server password is holding up any and all meaningful methods of paying back customers and merchants of the controversial Bangladesh e-commerce platform Evaly and there is seemingly no way to retrieve this password even if Mohammad Rassell, the CEO of the beleaguered e-commerce entity, who knew the password, is claiming to have forgotten it now.
According to media reports, this was underlined by the court-instituted Evaly board, which held a press conference recently while underlining the server contains data of all buyer and seller transactions and without that data, the worth and veracity of the claims cannot be estimated.
As claims cannot be verified, a sum of Taka 25 crore is stuck in escrow accounts of different payment gateways, also not being returned back to the customers, added the current Managing Director (MD) of Evaly, Mahbub Kabir Milon.
