
Barcelona, a men’s fashion and apparel company, announced that it will more than treble its number of doors this year to over 400 and expand into fresh markets, increasing its growth in small towns.
Jaimin Gupta launched the Ahmedabad-based company in 2015, and it currently has over 130 locations in addition to its B2B app, where the merchandise is supplied wholesale to clothing retailers. Over 7000 clothing merchants have already signed up for the app, and they plan to add 1 lakh more in FY ’24.
“We are doubling our sales every year and as our store network expands, revenues will grow too. We are providing value products and an affordable range of fashion garments in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities,” said Gupta.
Barcelona intends to open family stores under its name to sell goods for men, women, and children, he further stated. The business has partnerships with XYXX for the inner wear market and Khadim for the footwear category in its stores.
Barcelona is placing a significant wager on the growing demand for men’s fashion in India, which is expected to come mostly from the Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets as a result of greater fashion awareness on various social media platforms. In order to establish name recognition outside of the metro areas, it has also appointed actor Sonu Sood as its brand ambassador.
