
PVH Corp., one of the largest apparel firms in the world, announced today that Cheryl Abel-Hodges will be the new Chief Executive Officer of Calvin Klein – a globally renowned PVH brand.
She will be taking over from Steve Shiffman, who will be exiting the firm to pursue his other interests.
The company said in a press release that Abel-Hodges, before taking up the position of Chief Executive Officer, served as the Group President of Calvin Klein North America and The Underwear Group. Expressing confidence, Emanuel Chirico, Chairman and CEO, PVH Corp., stated that Cheryl’s strong management skills along with her consistent track record for operational excellence will help giving Calvin Klein a strong direction. “She is the right person to lead Calvin Klein and I feel her leadership and our incredible management teams from across the globe will enable us to capture the brand’s long-term growth potential,” added Chirico.
Chirico also thanked the outgoing CEO Steve and said that his contributions to PVH, including leading the Calvin Klein and Heritage Brands, will remain unparalled.
Abel-Hodges has been associated with PVH Corp. since 2006.
