Medical apparel brand Knya has appointed retail industry veteran Chintan Adeshara as head of retail as the company accelerates its offline expansion strategy across India.
Adeshara has been tasked with scaling the brand’s physical retail footprint, with a mandate to help expand Knya’s network to more than 100 stores over the next three years. The move signals the company’s increasing focus on brick-and-mortar retail as it seeks to build a stronger national presence.
Knya has already opened more than 20 stores across the country and plans to add two new outlets every month this year as part of its aggressive expansion strategy.
Adeshara brings more than 19 years of experience in large-scale retail operations. Over the course of his career, he has managed multi-state business portfolios, store operations and region-led expansion initiatives. He has overseen annual business portfolios exceeding ₹320 crore and led teams of more than 1,300 employees across various functions while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability.
He previously worked with fast-growing retail brands such as Zudio and Lenskart, where he played a key role in building and scaling retail operations. His experience includes expansion planning, process standardisation, shrinkage control initiatives and driving sustained double-digit growth across multiple regions.
Abhijeet Kaji, co-founder of Knya, said the company is strengthening its leadership team as it expands its retail network nationwide. He stated that Adeshara’s extensive experience in managing complex retail operations and building scalable growth models aligns with Knya’s long-term vision, adding that his leadership is expected to support the company’s next phase of growth.
Adeshara said he joined the company at an important stage in its expansion journey. He noted that his vision aligns with the brand’s ambition to build a structured and scalable medical apparel retail network in India. He added that his focus would be on disciplined expansion, improving store-level profitability, standardising retail operations and developing high-performing teams to support the company’s target of more than 100 stores over the next three years.
The appointment underscores Knya’s efforts to strengthen its leadership team as it continues to expand its physical presence across the country. With new stores opening regularly and the 100-store milestone targeted within the next three years, the company is intensifying its retail growth strategy.
