Canada-based Hudson’s Bay Company has named Vanessa LeFebvre as Lord and Taylor’s (one of their subsidiary brands) new President.
Vanessa previously worked with Stitch Fix (an online personal shopping platform) as a strategic planner and merchandising director and prior to that, she held major roles at Macy’s, TJX companies and Daffy’s.
Elucidating on her re-appointment at the company in a bigger role, Vanessa said that it is the best time to join the company, as they’re evolving their model and merchandising collection to meet the expectations and preference of their consumers.
“Starting my career in fashion and retail at Lord & Taylor, I am extremely pleased to return to where I started and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to lead from the front,” she added.
Helena Foulkes, CEO, Hudson’s Bay Company, is delighted to bring her back at Lord and Taylor as she believes Vanessa is the ideal person to lead the brand.
“Vanessa will help us transform as she has a track record of conceptualising and creating new lines of business. Along with this, her strong experience in leading online-based strategies and knowledge of retailing business makes her important for us going ahead,” she said.
Markedly, Lord & Taylor contributes 10 per cent to the total revenue of HBC.
