Lightspeed Commerce has something for the North American retailers!
The Canadian commerce platform has just launched a B2B platform for the fashion, outdoor and sports retailers across North America.
The platform, reportedly, will bring brands and retailers together with a supplier network tool that will help integrate B2B orders directly into the point of sale.
The new platform results from the integrating technology from NuORDER that was bought by Lightspeed last year.
Notably, NuORDER, a B2B e-commerce platform, was acquired by Lightspeed for US $ 425 million late last year.
More on the launch, JP Chauvet, CEO, Lightspeed, said that with the technology and expertise brought in through the acquisition of NuORDER, Lightspeed has been able to build a truly transformational, integrated brand-supplier network for the retail sector.
The CEO added that Lightspeed has been successful in re-inventing the buying and inventory process for brands and retailers.
Lightspeed was founded in 2005 and has offices in Montreal, New York, Santa Cruz, Toronto, Amsterdam and Ghent, amongst others.
